Houston, Texas, January 1, 2016 – East Houston Regional Medical Center helped Romelia Trejo and Alberto Lugo welcome daughter, Emileth into the world at 6:08 am. Emileth weighs 8 lbs. 2 oz. and is 19 inches long. Trejo and Lugo are from Houston and this is their second daughter. Big sister Adalyn can’t wait to meet her new baby sister.

“We are very excited that she is a New Year’s baby,” said mother Romelia Trejo.

“We are thrilled to welcome the first baby at East Houston Regional Medical Center for 2016. Each year we help families welcome their newborns into the world,” said Alice Adams, Chief Executive Officer at East Houston Regional Medical Center. “It is wonderful to be the only community hospital in the North Channel area dedicated to our resident’s needs. It is so exciting to be part of these families’ lifetime memories.”

The Trejo / Lugo family was presented with a beautiful basket of goodies for baby and mom, including diapers and formula, donated by the EHRMC Volunteer Auxiliary.

To all the families we have served and to all of the families who will choose us this year to provide healthcare for their families, we wish you a happy and healthy new year.
