TxDOT has re-opened the westbound side of the I-10 Bridge over the San Jacinto river, which was damaged by a barge strike last September during the tropical storm Imelda. The entry ramp from Crosby-Lynchburg Road was also reopened. All 3 eastbound lanes are scheduled to return to normal after realignment work is completed next weekend. TxDOT contractors had to build new support columns under the bridge to replace those damaged due to the barge strike.
