Jacinto City’s Heritage Hall: A Place for Seniors

By Allan Jamail

JACINTO CITY, TX — Sept. 16, 2026 — The Jacinto City Heritage Hall Senior Center provides an excellent opportunity for area seniors to become involved in their community. The center offers a variety of activities designed to support members’ physical and mental well-being.

Caring professionals supervise the center and ensure everyone receives adequate attention. Staff members also assist those who need additional help participating in activities.

Elizabeth Flores, director of Senior Services, is assisted by Program Special Assistants Maria Espinoza and Naomi Navarro, who help keep the center’s meal program and activities orderly and organized.

A registered dietitian approves nutritional meals served on weekdays, and takeout weekend meals are available for those who need them. A van is available upon request to provide transportation assistance to the center. The van is also used on designated days to take members shopping and on planned sightseeing trips.

When I visit the center, it warms my heart to see seniors I have known for many years using the facility, which I supported when I was mayor and a city councilman in the 1970s and 1980s.

Director Flores said, “A big thank you to all representatives, speakers, and volunteers for your commitment to older adults in our communities through activities, information, food pantries, education, and resources. All of you are greatly appreciated for helping and serving our senior community.”
