On Friday, June 9, the San Jacinto Pilot Club held their annual installation banquet at the home of Jerry and Julie Fallin. Members and guests enjoyed a late-season crawfish boil, with boiled shrimp and friend chicken to complement the menu.
Attendees heard about the club’s accomplishments from last year, such as distributing around 200 bicycle helmets to the community, awarding $12,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors and returning scholarship recipients, and constructing close to 400 heart-shaped pillows for the children at Texas Children’s Hospital.
Gail Wilson, Lt. Governor for the Texas District of Pilot International, installed the following as officers for the 2017-2018 Pilot year:
Julie Fallin, President
Natalie Martinez, co-Secretary
Carolyn Roberts, co-Secretary
Karen Westbrooks, Treasurer
Joan Van Fleet, membership director
During the installation, the 30th annual spaghetti dinner was mentioned to be on October 14 which is their major fundraiser for the year.
