Tears of joy from both Coach Jon Kay and receiver Ajani Carter after the emotional game winning Hail Mary pass. Kay said, “The Mustangs practice this play every week, we work on it Thursdays before a Friday game, and it’s called a Hail Mary for a reason — somebody’s living right.”
Sophomore quarterback Dematrius Davis named MVP Offensive Player of the game. His 45 yard Hail Mary touchdown pass on the final play of the game to AJ Carter made 6A Championship history for making 5 touchdown passes in a game.
