Channelview High School Choir prepares to experience New York City during Spring Break.

The Channelview High School Choir Program aspires to introduce students to the unlimited opportunities Choral music has to offer. After two years of planning and fundraising, 17 students and 5 chaperones will depart for the Big Apple on March 10, 2019.

The trip will be infused with musical experiences tied to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills requirements for Music. Students will visit the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Ground Zero. In addition to seeing and experiencing the history of New York City, the students will enjoy a workshop with Broadway directors and Actors, as well as the live performance of a Broadway musical. Students will end their trip with a performance in St. Malachy Actors’ Chapel. This trip is sure to be one that students, directors, and parents will never forget.
