Galena Park, TX. ~ October 6, 2026 ~ The Galena Park Homecoming Parade was full of beautiful decorated floats. There were so many great looking and deserving floats to photograph it was difficult decide which ones to photograph.
The GPHS Alumni Homecoming Float stood out from the others because of the large amount of alumni who came back home to be in it. It was rewarding for me to see alumni from so many graduating classes come together to celebrate their shared Yellow Jacket pride with their motto “Once a Jacket, Always a Jacket” (see photo).
The Galena Park High School Girls Basketball Team won the parade contest with their “Adventure Awaits” Up-themed float. Many of the parade participants wore Mickey Mouse ears in celebration of the theme, Once Upon a Disney Homecoming.
