RodeoHouston starts Feb. 28, announces performers, tickets now on sale

JANUARY 05, 2022 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ Announces 2022 RODEOHOUSTON® Entertainment Lineup for 90th Anniversary Celebration

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo officials released the entertainment lineup for the 2022 Rodeo season, scheduled for Feb. 28 – March 20, celebrating its 90th anniversary. The lineup features a mix of genres including country, EDM, Latin pop, R&B/pop, Norteño, pop, rock and Christian. Nearly half of the artists will make their RODEOHOUSTON debut in 2022.

“We are excited about the level of talent and diverse acts who will perform on the RODEOHOUSTON star stage in 2022,” said Chris Boleman, Rodeo president and CEO. “We welcome nine new entertainers who will make their RODEOHOUSTON debut, as well as many fan favorites, including the ‘King of Country’ music himself, George Strait, who will return to the stage to help celebrate our 90th anniversary.”

Individual RODEOHOUSTON tickets will go on sale to the public Thursday, Jan. 13, 10 a.m., at rodeohouston.com. Ticket prices start at $20, plus a $4 convenience fee.

Deadlines to Register and Vote in the March Primary

Deadlines to Vote in the March Primary Election are approaching! The League of Women Voters of Texas provides information on new voting processes.

Vote by Mail

January 1st was the first day Texans could apply to vote by mail in the 2022 elections.

Voters who are over 65 or disabled and wish to vote by mail must apply every year. Voters who will be absent from the county during early voting and Election Day must apply for each election in which they want to vote by mail. The application deadline is February 18th for the Texas Primary Election.

Voters must use the NEW Application for Ballot by Mail (ABBM) available at their County Election Office or from the Texas Secretary of State’s website votetexas.gov. Alternatively, voters may print the Vote by Mail application in English or Spanish. Applications must be received (not postmarked) at your County Election Office by the application deadline, which is February 18th for the Primary Election.

North Shore HS Basketball Stadium — January 18, 2022 — The Lady Mustangs, under Head Coach Allison Campbell, hosted Beaumont Bruins in a district game. Lady Mustangs never let the Bruins get close enough to make a serious threat to their victory, winning 52-39.

The game was all Lady Mustangs on both offense and defense. They lead by double digits throughout the game.
