October 4, 2019 — In the unincorporated northeast part of Harris County at the new Sheldon ISD C. E. King Panther stadium, the North Shore Mustangs dominated the district game on offense and defense, making 7 touchdowns (TD) and one field goal, 52 – 14.

Coach Jon Kay had his North Shore team playing so well they led at halftime 45 – 0. After halftime, Kay began using his backup players, getting them valuable playing time and experience.

The Mustangs offense made 548 total yards, 239 rushing yards and 309 passing yards.

Zach Evans had 2 rushing TD’s and a 17 yard passing TD from quarterback Dematrius Davis.

Wide receiver Ismael Fuller scored a TD on an 86 yard pass and run play from Davis. Roger Hagan and Ismael Villafuerte each made a rushing TD. Defensive back Marcus Cockrell returned a fumble 18 yards for a TD, and Kicker John Villalobos was perfect again, kicking a field goal and 7 extra points.

The Mustang stingy defense held the Panthers to a mere 127 total yards.

The Mustangs (4-1) travel to play the Deer Park Deer (3-2) in a district game on Friday, October 11th at 7 PM, at the Abshier Stadium, 710 W San Augustine St, Deer Park, TX 77536.
